Breaking News: Barcelona Preparing A Mega Bid For Chelsea Goal Keeper

Spanish Newspapers reported that Barcelona are preparing a big money bid for highly talented Chelsea goal keeper Thibaut Courtois.

The young Belgian goal keeper is under spot light for his consistent performances for Atletico Madrid where he is spending his loan term. He won Europa League title last season with them and is now wanted by La Liga giants Barcelona as they are scouting for a replacement for Victor Valdes.

Barcelona are ready to offer up to £10m for the youngster, as their no 1 Valdes looking increasingly unlikely to stay with them after his current contract expires in 2014.

But Thibaut Courtois’s father has dismissed this rumor saying,

“At this moment there is no contract with Barcelona,”

The player’s agent also denied any such deals and pointed out that his client belongs to the London Club.

He commented,

“Thibaut will finish the season at Atletico. He belongs to Chelsea, we’ll see later but there is no contact with Barca.”

Chelsea signed Courtois in July 2011 from Belgian side Genk, but was immediately loaned out to Atletico to gain first-team experience. But the plan is back firing now. If he moves to Barcelona, Chelsea wlll be forced look elsewhere for possible Cech replacement in future.
