According to German newspaper Bild, Arsenal are preparing a bid for Mainz striker Adam Szalai. Wenger is turning his attention to the Mainz player after his failed attempts to bring David Villa to Arsenal from Barcelona.
After Chamack’s loan to Westham, Arsenal have just one centre forward in the name of Giroud. Arsenal scouts have pinpointed Szalai is the right man who can improve their attacking options.
When asked about this Mainz manager Christian Heidel said,
”There is definitely no interest. For no amount of money would we sell him now.”’
“If someone came to us with 20 million, then we will see”
It is believed that Arsenal will face stiff compettition for Adam Szalai’s signature from Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg who are also closely watching him.
