Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has agreed a deal to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, according to reports from Dailystar. The report explains that a high profile figure at Old Trafford has privately confirmed that it is a ‘done deal’ and the manger will take over the Red Devils in the summer.
Although, Van Gaal has a contract with United until the end of next season, Mourinho’s name was constantly mentioned in the press for the last couple of days as the man to replace him. Starsport has now exclusively revealed that the Dutch man’s reign Old Trafford will come to an end despite United’s league position.
Van Gaal has previously accused the media of “inventing” the news that Mourinho will replace him.
It is also said that Mourinho has confirmed to his close friends that he has landed the Man United job and bookies BetVictor have confirmed the odds to be 1/5 for Mourinho to be the next United boss.
