Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Mario is set to move to Manchester United in the summer in a £45million transfer deal according to the Daily Star.
United missed out on signing their long term transfer target Renato Sanches to Bayern Munich, however, they are already looking to sign a like-minded player Mario, who has now turned into Manchester United’s No-1 transfer target.
The player has had an excellent season this time around with seven goals and spectacular form in different varieties, between Central midfield and both the flanks to his credit.
Reports from the Daily Star claim that the Red Devils have already met with the player’s representatives and have offered him a contract which would see him receive £140k per week at the Old Trafford.
Although Sporting are holding back on the contract and are reluctant to let go of the player, United are ready to activate Mario’s release clause worth £45million.
