Manchester United’s hopes of signing Neymar has taken a major blow as the Brazilian superstar has signed a new contract with Barcelona that will keep him at the club till 2021.
An official statement on Barcelona’s website has announced the contract renewal and the 24 year old is set to stay at Nou Camp for foreseeable future. Before this Neymar was being chased by Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester United wanted to make Neymar the marquee signing for Jose Mourinho however now the Red Devils will have to look elsewhere.
The club has recently signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to land at Manchester by the end of the day. Earlier Eric Bailly from Villareal has been signed by Mourinho and now there is a need for a midfielder in the team. Since Neymar seems to be long gone, its anyone’s guess who the next signing will be.
