Manchester United’s David De Gea is all set to leave Old Trafford before the transfer window closes, after the goalkeeper’s girlfriend confirmed that he will be moving to Spain soon. The 24-year-old superstar has been linked for quite some time now with a big money deal to join Real Madrid this summer, though a move had not been finalized till now.
However, Spanish press El Mundo further claim that his girlfriend, Edurne Garcia, said that the Spanish international will leave Manchester in her comments after a recent interview.
The former European champions were looking to add De Gea as a long term replacement for his compatriot Iker Casillas, who joined Portuguese outfit Porto some time ago.
However, the speculations had died down in recent times as the La Liga giants added Kiko Casilla from Espanyol to their current squad and manager Rafa Benitez saying that his side did not need to sign yet another keeper.
However, Garcia has made comments, which will surely reignite the rumours of his potential return to the Spanish capital. She said, “Now, when he is in Madrid, everything will be much easier.”
