Breaking: Liverpool superstar off to Watford, despite Serie A interest

There have been plenty of speculations including a return to Italy for Liverpool’s rejected striker Mario Balotelli, who has failed to impress since his move to Anfield last summer. Also, Gianluca Di Marzio of SkySports Italia added that the 25-year-old superstar wants to stay in England and is wanted by Premier League new boys Watford.

As per a Tweet by David Amoyal, who manages Di Marzio’s English feed on Twitter, it was clearly hinted that the Italian international would be leaving the Merseyside club and moving elsewhere this summer.

The star who has played for clubs like Milan and  Manchester City in the past, might find it hard to play for a club like Watford, though the club has a strong Italian influence from owner Giampaolo Pozzo.

One thing the striker can be certain about if he does indeed move, that he will be given regular first-team football, something that he has failed to get under Kop boss Brendan Rodgers.

Further, on Monday the club added Balotelli’s one-time international teammate Alessandro Diamanti, which might be an additional impetus for him to move as well.
