According to the reports, the Reds are on the verge of signing former Barcelona defender Juan Manuel Garcia.
The 19-year-old player came through the La Masia academy of Barcelona and has played as left back and a center back during his career. Now Juanma has completed a 10 day trial with the U23 side of Liverpool and is ready to be signed by the Reds. A medical is scheduled for him and shortly after that he will join the U23 Liverpool side.
The player is not expected to play for the first team anytime this season but is quite talented and has caught the eyes of not only Liverpool but Villareal as well. The Reds had to fight off Villareal’s approach for him before they could confirm his joining. Liverpool have purchased several players this season but are also recruiting youth in order to make a healthy pipeline of talents for the future.
