Liverpool has been linked with Dinamo Zagreb player Ante Coric frequently over the summer and according to reports the Reds have been handed a boost with regards to signing the youngster.
Reports from Calciomercato claims that the 19-year-old is not happy at the Croatian club after a fall-out with Dinamo manager Zeljko Sopic. The player was not included in the squad for Champions League match against Juventus Tuesday night.
Being left out of the match disheartened the player expressed himself through social networking:
“My life and my dream. That’s what football means to me. Unfortunately it is a difficult moment from dreams, I am sorry for not playing in a crowded Maksimir tonight.
“I’d been waiting for this moment since the very first time I’ve worn this shirt and it’s hard when you know you’ve not been called for a big game. My heart is with my teammates, I wish them all the best.”
Liverpool, however, are not the only ones linked with the player as the Reds have been facing stiff competition from their Italian counterparts AC Milan, who are also hot on heels in the pursuit of the player.
In some ways the report makes it sound like the player may be on his way out of the club, adding that the youngster’s future now lies in the hands of Liverpool and AC Milan.
