So it has been finally made official. The 24-year old Belgian International Christian Benteke is officially a Reds player now, having successfully completed his medical and agreeing to sign a long term contract. Liverpool have paid £32.5m for Benteke’s services, making him the club’s 3rd most expensive signing and a record seventh signing of the window. Benteke joins the likes of Firmino, Milner, Ings and his International team mate Divock Origi at Anfield. Talking about his move to the Merseyside, Benteke thanked the Liverpool management and went on to share his knowledge about the club. He said; “I’m very happy to be here and I would like to thank the owners, Ian [Ayre] and of course the manager for their massive effort to bring me here.” “I think there are quality players, a lot of good players with big names of course.
