Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Sadio Mane from Southampton. The Reds have been chasing Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich for quite some time now and have decided to give up on the Germand and go for Mane instead as per Star Sports.
Sadio Mane was linked with a move away from Southampton last summer but after the departure of the likes of Clyne and Schneiderlin, Ronal Koeman prevented any more players from leaving their club. However it is understood that there is an internal agreement with Mane that Southampton will let him leave this summer if he wishes. Even Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal was also said to be interested in Mane but now Liverpool seem to be leading the race. The Reds are ready to complete a £30 million deal for Mane which will make him the third most expensive player in the history of Kop.
The first two are Andy Carroll and Christian Benteke. Neither of them have been impressive and we hope the third one is the charm.
