It no news that Manchester United are in need of a replacement for Louis Van Gaal and so far there has been speculation regarding the potential candidates for United’s managerial position.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some time now and according to Sky Italia journalist Alessandro Alciato, Jose Mourinho joining Manchester United as a new manager is nearly a sealed deal. The journalist interviewed Jorge Mendes in December thus it is clear where Alciato got his news from. Recent reports from Gazzetta Dello also claimed that the meeting between the Special One and the United representative was real but discreet.
Though Mendes may be the source of the information for Alciato it cannot be said that Mourinho is heading to the Old Trafford until he reaches there.
The news can also be a result of those who want to avoid the positive reactions towards Van Gaal after the Red Devils victory against Stoke city.
