Breaking! Giroud And Leicester Manager Confirms Vardy’s Move To Arsenal

So, it is now almost confirmed that Premier League winner Jamie Vardy will be making a move to Arsenal this summer after reports from BBC and Sky Sports have announced it over the past 48 hours.

To further confirm the news, Arsenal’s current first choice striker Oliver Giroud has come out and claimed that the English International wants to move to the Emirates and he would welcome the move as it is for the greater good of the club.

Following France’s stunning display against Scotland, where Giroud netted in two out of the three goals, the striker was interviewed and when asked about Vardy, he stated that;

“I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it’s very good news for us. I think we can be complimentary and that’s all I can say,” Giroud told Sky Sports News HQ

He’s a fantastic player, so it’s good news for us.”

He added: “As I said in the past I am happy with competition. We have always had fantastic strikers at Arsenal and I want the best for this club. Hopefully he is going to help us win this title.

“The boss wanted to sign at least one or two strikers, so I expected a top striker and I think it will benefit the club and hopefully he is going to score a lot of goals like he did at Leicester.”

Elsewhere, according to the Saturday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian daily sports newspaper, when Ranieri was questioned about Vardy’s future, he told a journalist: “It’s all true.”

All that remains to be done is a medical and the final contract negotiations between the player and club, which has been rumoured to be going on for the last two weeks.

All in all, a great start to the summer for the Arsenal fans. Following Xhaka’s signature from the Bundesliga, this will be Wenger’s second signature before the start of the EUROS.
