Chelsea have already purchased two very good players in Batshuayi and Kante. However, the rebuild project is on and the new boss Antonio Conte is far from done with his business in the transfer market.
Recent reports have stated that the Blues are set to hold talks with Santos over a possible deal for Thiago Maia. The report claims that Antonio Conte is looking at getting the 19 year old Brazilian this summer. An outlay of £15 million will be necessary to sign the player but with Chelsea willing, we could see the deal be finalized quickly. Given that the Santos boss is currently in London the discussion is set to be held this week and we could get a firm update on Maia’s situation by next week.
PSG are also interested in the youngster but Chelsea look to be leading the chase and the Blues are preparing themselves in a case of a bidding war and will lodge a formal offer after the Olympics.
