Chelsea are looking to bring in Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly into the squad. The Blues will be approaching Napoli the second time after having been rejected earlier once.
Chelsea’s incoming manager Antonio Conte is planning a huge revamp at the Stamford Bridge and wants Koulibaly in his revamped squad, and thus has asked Chelsea to bring Koulibaly to London in the summer.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Blues have prepared a bid costing £23.3million expecting that Napoli would be interested in the deal.
Conte’s revamping plans for Chelsea includes bringing in players the likes of Kostas Manolas, John Stones and Simon Kjaer so as to ail their defenses. However, Koulibaly is the best in the lot, having helped Napoli finish second in the Serie A table this term.
A towering force, Koulibaly will be one welcome addition to Chelsea’s defenses next season provided the Blues manage to get the player into the Stamford Bridge.
