Arsenal are still chasing after Leicester City by 13 points even though there are only 5 more matches remaining this season. Arsenal will not able to win the Premier League title this season and this might just be one reason why many believe that the current season may be Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s last season at the Emirates Stadium even though he still has one more season in his contract.
While fans are disappointed with the Gunners, Wenger is preparing for an absolute change in the current fixtures in the squad. Reports suggest that Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, and Tomas Rosicky are all leaving he Emirates on a free transfer and thus Wenger will need players to replace the trio.
As such Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez is Wenger’s priority transfer target after having rejected him in January 2014. Mahrez has 16 goals and 11 assists to his credit and thus have been an important part of Leicester City’s campaign, leading them as the top contenders for the Premier League title.
