Breaking! Arsenal’s Bid For Riyad Mahrez Revealed – £30m Offered

Riyad-Mahrez3

Reports from France claim that Arsenal have made a £30m bid for Leicester’s superstar Riyad Mahrez. The PFA award winner has been heavily linked with the Gunners throughout the summer, however, there were no substantial reports revealing any bid made by Arsenal.

This morning, L’Equipe journalist has Tweeted the following;

However, the reports from English Media confirm that the £30m bid has been immediately rejected by the Premier League Champions and Arsenal have to increase their initial bid if they stand a chance to sign Mahrez.

Speaking to the press earlier today, Ranieri confirmed that he wishes to keep the Algerian at the King Power Stadium this season;

“He stays with us, We wanted to keep all our players.”

“Of course, Kante had a [release] clause and Chelsea paid it but Riyad does not have the clause and he will stay with us.”

Gilles Favard seems to have been sure about Mahrez’s move to Arsenal right from the beginning of the window, as he was the first one to break the news of a possible transfer move for Mahrez. Further, he has now tweeted that Arsenal will go back with an improved £35m bid.

It was only earlier this week that there was a rumour linking Mahrez to Chelsea as he was spotted in a hotel used by the Blues for various reasons with his agent and apparently Conte was also seen arriving, but only after the Algerian left the place.

Things are starting to get heated in the transfer window, but unless and until Wenger breaks the bank, there won’t be much transfer movements in this inflated market.
