BREAKING: Arsenal Star To Retire At The End Of The Season

Abou Diaby

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is set to hang his boots at the end of the season according to reports from Dailymail. It’s a shame for the Frenchman as constant injuries have plagued his development as the heir to Patrick Viera’s throne at Arsenal.

The midfielder is yet to regain full fitness after recovering from a knee injury sustained back in 2013 that kept him out of action for almost a whole year. Diaby’s contract is due at the end of this season and the way things are shaping up, it would be his last contract with the Gunners as there have been no news regarding an extension. According to the Tabloid,

“Diaby’s Gunners playing career is expected to come an end at the end of the season after another injury hit campaign.

“Arsenal’s medical team have worked hard with Diaby, but the sheer volume of injuries he’s sustained has taken its toll.

“It’s nobody’s fault. Just utter bad luck. There seems to be no way back for the Frenchman at Arsenal.”

The 28-year old has just featured in a solitary Capital One game for the Gunners this season and is currently nursing a calf problem.
