Breaking! Arsenal Receive Boost In Striker Chase As Manager Gives Out Crucial Details

Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the club needs to sign a defender and a striker this summer. Several strikers have been linked with a move to Emirates and the Gunners have also attempted to sign several players but no striker has been signed so far.

In a recent attempt there was a bid made for Alexandre Lacazette but the £29 million bid made by the Gunners was rejected by Lyon. The 25 year old had been, since then, expected to remain at Lyon but Arsenal seem to have received a boost in their chase for the player recently.

Lyon boss Genesio has spoken to RTL and informed the magazine that there are some offers which are simply not possible to turn down.

‘He can leave if Lyon want him to. There are some offers that you cannot refuse,’ Genesio told.

‘My desire as manager is that the best players stay and Lacazette is very important for the team.

‘I have been assured by my president that we will keep the player. You never know what could happen right up until the 31st August.’

Arsenal are looking to reinforce their attack and will hope that the fear of Genesio comes true.
