However Mirror has revealed that the Gunners are now plotting a shock move for Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind. The Dutchman arrived under the supervision of Louis Van Gaal but Jose Mourinho is said to be not too impressed with his physical presence. The new Portuguese manager has been linked with interest in the likes of Nemanja Matic and there are various reports that the club will be willing to let go of Blind in the summer.
The Dutch international is a clever player and while he lacks in physical presence, he does most of the times make it up with his intelligent movement and ball play. However Mourinho’s style is different and Arsene Wenger believes that Blind will be able to contribute in a number of roles at Emirates.
