Antonio Conte will be taking up the managerial position at Stamford Bridge now to as according to The Times, Conte will be asking Chelsea for five signings this summer.
The Italian manager will be trying to sign five new players into the squad after taking into consideration the current situation of the squad. According to reports in Times, Conte wants to sign one left-back, two centre-backs, a central midfielder and one striker, into the squad during the summer transfer.
As such Conte has identified Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan from Roma, for the midfield positions. Paris Saint German’s Edinson Cavani is the most viable option upfront according to the Italian manager, while he is open to whoever comes in at the back.
However, Conte may not be getting as many players as he wants as Chelsea feel that the squad is fine and the Italian can work with the current team.
Obviously depends on outgoings, but suspect Conte will end up with less than five new players.
