Bournemouth vs Liverpool: Liverpool line-up

Liverpool have set an outright record for the longest unbeaten run in their history after a thumping 5-2 win over Everton on Wednesday, extending their stunning Premier League streak to 32 matches without a loss.

The Reds travel to the Dean Court Stadium to take on Bournemouth on gameweek 16. They are currently perched atop of the table and are 8 points clear of second-placed Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are winless in their last four Premier League games. The last time they won against Liverpool was back in December 2016.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s men must aim to finish off the game with ease and take maximum points as they have been doing this season.

Team News

Klopp has most of his players available for this crucial fixture – only barring Joel Matip and Nathaniel Clyne.

Joel Matip (Getty Images)

The Cameroonian has been ruled out this match due to a knee injury along with Clyne, who has been sidelined for the majority of the season. Fabinho will be another absentee in the middle of the park due to an injury he picked up recently.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian shot-stopper missed the Merseyside fixture after suspension orders in the game against Brighton. But he could retake his spot from Adrian, who started against Everton.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster had a brilliant game mid-week. He was heavily involved in Xherdan Shaqiri’s goal and should retain his place.

Dejan Lovern (CB)

Lovern is enjoying a run of successful game time with Matip’s absence he should receive a start.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

The Ballon d’ Or runner up is a key member of Klopp’s team. His performances have not been as commanding as last year but his positives still outweigh the negatives.

Andy Robertson (LB)

With 5 assists to his name in the league, the Scottish international has been impressive throughout with his forward runs.

Jordan Henderson (RCM)

The Englishman has led Liverpool brilliantly so far. He must take his place from Adam Lallana, who was part of the many changes Klopp made midweek.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Liverpool’s key midfielder, Wijnaldum, finished off the game brilliantly against Everton with a goal. The Dutch star deserves to be a starter without facing any competition for his spot.

James Milner (LCM)

The experienced campaigner has not been a regular in the starting XI for the Reds. But with Fabinho’s injury, Milner must start.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Injuries have been a concern for Salah this season and he was on the bench in the Merseyside derby. However, he should start ahead of Shaqiri this weekend.

Sadio Mane (LW)

The best player in the Premier League at the moment, Mane has not put a foot wrong so far and has been the driving force for Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian has been magical with his feet and is a big asset for Liverpool and Klopp. He should make it to the starting line up after being benched midweek.
