Szczesny 7 – Good game from the Polish keeper. Made two important saves that kept the home side from scoring.
Gibbs 6– Mixed game for the English left-back. Blaszczykowski gave him lots of troubles at the start, but he improved as the match progressed.
Koscielny 7– Typical game – highly physical, hard tackling performance from the French defender. Kept Lewandowski at bay for most of the game.
Mertesacker 8 (Top of the match)– Probably the best defender in the premier league at the moment. Leadered the defense in a commanding way. Made some crucial interceptions.
Sagna 6.5 – Right-back did what Wenger would have expected from him. Looks like he is getting back to his best slowly.
Ramsey 7 – Struggled in the middle when Dortmund pressed but scored the winner with a good header. Everything the Welshman touches becomes gold at the moment.
Arteta 7 – Started poorly, but improved as the game progressed. Gave a solid cover to his defenders.
Cazorla 6 – Average game for the Spanish midfield wizard.
Ozil 6.5 – Another player who struggled with Dortmund’s pressing. But it was his floating cross that led to the opening goal.
Rosicky 7.5 – Top performance from the Cech captain. Full of energy, tackling and dribbling.
Giroud 7– Not had many goal scoring chances during the game. But he assisted Ramsey for the opener with a well timed header.
