Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly recently commented that his contract extension talks have stalled with Napoli and he may soon begin to speak with Antonio Conte regarding a possible move.
In the aftermath of the above public declaration Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said that the reckless comment from the defender has cost Napoli “millions and millions” of Euro. Apparently the comments from Koulibaly is a breach in commercial contract with Napoli and has caused massive rollback with several advertisers and promoters associated with Napoli. Due to the comment several commercial arrangements that were done with various brands are being cancelled as the advertising companies are not too keen to display Koulibaly as a Napoli player.
Now that Napoli has suffered financial loss due to Koulibaly’s comment what will be their next course of action is yet to be seen. While they could keep the player it may turn out to be a moot point after this development. Was it a blunder from Koulibaly? Or is it the new way of forcing a move out of the club?
