Sheffield United opinion: Blades in for Oli McBurnie – Good move?

According to a report in Wales Online, Swansea City striker Oli McBurnie is Sheffield United’s top transfer target and the Blades could end up making a move for him in the coming days.

Currently, his contract expires in the summer of 2021, with an option to extend that for 12 more months. So, the Welsh side can ask for big money if an offer comes from Sheffield United.

McBurnie could support Sharp much better

Oli McBurnie is a striker by trade, but he can play on either wing and also as an attacking midfielder if required. In short, the Scot is capable of impacting the game by operating in any position in the frontline.

He has had a terrific last 12 months in a Swansea shirt, with numbers of 22 goals and four assists in 42 league appearances last season. His flexibility in the final third means that not only can he score the chances, but also fabricate them for others as well.

Some of his attributes are his physical strength on the ball, dribbling past defenders, headed attempts in the box from crosses, creation of chances and also finishing them.

So overall, it has to be said that Sheffield United are doing the right thing by keeping McBurnie as their top transfer target for this summer window. They can rely on a lot of goals by signing the Scotland international.
