Paul Pogba’s elder sibling Florentine Pogba has spoken about the family’s footballing fraternity’s wish to appear in a game together, be it on the same side or as opponents. Speaking to
Speaking to Corriero Dello Sport, the Saint Etienne defender discussed life as a footballing family. The defender chose to play for Guinea despite featuring three times for France U-20 side meaning he could never feature alongside his more famous and much-coveted midfield general brother Paul.
However, when asked what teams Paul would choose to play for should he have a chance, Florentine was quick to list out Real Madrid, Barcelona or Arsenal. While this might not have any direct impact on the movements of Paul in the near future, the fact that the star midfielder admires the London club should provide the Arsenal faithful with some hope. A host of clubs across Europe have shown an interest in signing the midfielder who deservedly took a spot on the Ballon D’Or team of the year and we believe it would take a record bid to lure him away from Turin.
He said: “It would be beautiful, although it’s obviously not easy and there isn’t a France-Guinea planned anytime soon. Still, there is the hope one day to go on the field together as part of the same club.”
Asked which club that would be: “Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal: these are clubs who make you dream. In the end, it wouldn’t matter which team it is, but the fact of being able to play together on the field: for us, that would be the best present.”
