Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has now hinted that his team-mate Pedro is a target for Premier League giants Manchester United and could be on his way out of Nou Camp in search of first team action. The forward is wanted by a number of big European clubs including Louis van Gaal’s side, who is trying to add more attacking options to his squad and the Spanish international is considering a move to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old attacker has a £22m release clause in his current contract with the Catalan side and Busquets speaking prior to Saturday’s game against Manchester United in Santa Clara said, “Yes, I have spoken to him but I won’t tell you what he said. It was a private conversation.”

“But we are in a team of great players and it’s hard for him. Finally it will be his decision but I hope he stays.”

Further, reports from ESPN confirm that Manchester United will meet with representatives of both Barcelona and Pedro in the United States over the weekend, as they hope to complete a deal by the middle of next week.
