Bielsa to make no changes – Predicted 4-1-4-1 Leeds United XI to face Hull City

Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Hull City in the Championship

A slightly out of form Leeds United face a struggling Hull City away from home in this midweek’s Championship game. Marcelo Bielsa’s men should have got three points against Sheffield Wednesday had they had the final product to match their overall play.

The Peacocks are no more the leaders of the table, with West Brom taking over that ship. However, Bielsa’s men are second in the table, a point adrift of the Baggies. It is now their job to perform better against Hull and try to retain that top spot.

Team News

Leeds haven’t been lucky in terms of injuries, with some of the key players still out of action. The likes of Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Gaetano Berardi are out of action, the latter of them being very close to return.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The youngster is slowly settling in well and is putting in some good displays.

Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling (RB)

The ever-willing Ayling has been one of the consistent performers in the team. Possibly irreplaceable at right-back right now.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The skipper would be required to make his team perform better and start a winning run to get the momentum back.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The Swedish international is a very good defender but at times, his passing from the back lets him down.

Barry Douglas (LB)

Just like his full-back partner, this summer’s new signing Douglas has been good for the team as well.

Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

The Englishman has done very well in the holding midfield role, ticking the play over and shielding the back-line.

Samuel Saiz (RAM)

The Spaniard sometimes gets marked out of the game, which is frustrating. He needs to get back to doing the basics and start creating chances.

Mateusz Klich (LAM)

The Pole had a dip in form after a good start. He is slowly recovering the rhythm but is still a little away from his best.

Jack Harrison (RW)

A player who takes up great positions in the attack but fails to provide the final product with precision. With Hernandez out, he needs to step up.

Ezgjan Alioski

Ezgjan Alioski (LW)

The Macedonian has been out of form for the past few weeks now. Expect the manager to start him for this game, however, the winger needs to perform better or lose his place.

Tyler Roberts (ST)

The youngster has the big boots of Roofe to fill. Though he is not yet up to the mark, he should improve with more game time.
