Predicted Burnley Lineup To Face West Ham United

Burnley will take on Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United in the final game of the season in the Premier League at the Turf Moor on Sunday.

The Clarets have managed to survive the drop in their first season after return to the top flight and will be keen on signing off on a strong note, after what has been a decent campaign. They currently occupy 15th place in the league table and 3 points against the Hammers could see them move a few rungs higher up.

Team News

Centre-back duo Michael Keane and Ben Mee are still continuing their recoveries from injury and may not feature on the final day. Joey Barton is suspended while Dean Marney has been ruled out for the season.

Probable Burnley Starting XI

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-2

Tom Heaton (GK)

The Burnley captain has been excellent in goal. His presence between the sticks inspires confidence among his teammates. Will start on Sunday.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

Has been extremely consistent in the past few weeks. The 27-year old should keep his place on the right-hand side of the defence.

Kevin Long (CB)

The 26-year has done a good job since returning to the team two weeks back, after a very lengthy spell on the sidelines. With Keane still a doubt, Long will start against the Hammers.

James Tarkowski (CB)

Another one who has hardly put a step wrong since being called up following Ben Mee’s injury, the 24-year old will partner Long at the heart of the defence.

Stephen Ward (LB)

Not always given the credit that is due, the 30-year old full-back will keep hold of his spot in the starting XI and deservedly so.

Johann Berg-Gudmundsson (RM)

Injuries have hampered him from getting into his stride in his first season with Burnley. After an impressive cameo last week, he should get a starting berth on the right flank.

Ashley Westwood (CM)

The January signing has been fairly decent in his handful of appearances in the middle of the park. Will play against the Hammers on Sunday.

Jeff Hendrick (CM)

The Irishman has grown into a vital cog in the Burnley wheel since his arrival last summer. Should start alongside Westwood.

Robbie Brady (LM)

Another January signing, Brady has had to make do with appearances from the bench in recent times. May well replace Scott Arfield on the left flank.

Ashley Barnes (ST)

The 27-year old is an important player for the Clarets with the added physical threat he brings to the table. Will want to finish the campaign with a goal.

Sam Vokes (ST)

Has scored thrice in the last 2 league games and has scored 9 for the season. The Welshman will be keen on reaching double figures and a goal against the Hammers would help him do that.
