In what is fast turning into yet another disappointing title run for Arsene Wenger, his Arsenal side have taken just three points from the last three games, losing to the league leaders Chelsea in the previous round of the competition. They have fallen down the points table in the last couple of weeks and they face a tricky test this weekend when they welcome Marco Silva’s Hull City side that is on the ascend.

The Tigers have now taken 7 points of the last 4 games against the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool and will hope to put in a similar performance in this game. The Gunners have lost a bit of form recently and will have to be at their best to take anything from this game but playing at home, they will start the game as favourites to take all three points.

Here is the predicted lineup that Arsene Wenger might field for this tie:

Team News:

The Gunners are still without the services of Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey, both of whom are injured. Midfielder Granit Xhaka is still suspended while defender Hector Bellerin is back to full fitness after picking up a knock in the game against Chelsea.

Attacker Lucas Perez is also expected to be back in action for this tie. Midfielder Mohamed Elneny is back from the AFCON and is expected to be pushed into the first team straight away due to absentees.

Expected lineup (4-2-3-1):

Petr Cech:

Had a forgettable evening against his former side, but he has enough experience to put it behind him and come out all guns blazing this weekend.

Hector Bellerin:

The Spaniard had scans on his knee earlier in the week and he joined the team in training already and is expected to start this tie.

Laurent Koscielny:

The French international had a disastrous day against the Blues and he will hope to get his team back to winning ways at the Emirates.

Shkodran Mustafi:

His performance against Chelsea may have well dented his confidence and it is important for his future at the club to put in a decent performance at the back for Arsenal in this tie.

Nacho Monreal:

The first choice full-back for Arsenal, Monreal is expected to keep his place in the side for this game against the Tigers.

Francis Coquelin:

The most consistent defender for Arsenal this season, Coquelin was all over the place at the Bridge and will hope to put in a better performance on Saturday.

Mohamed Elneny:

Just coming back from the AFCON, Elneny is expected to start this game alongside Coquelin in the absence of first team players for this game.

Theo Walcott:

Though not effective in the last few games, Walcott is an impact player for Arsenal and is expected to start this game for the Gunners.

Mesut Ozil:

The German playmaker never got his foot into the game against Chelsea and will hope to have a better time against Marco Silva’s side.

Alexis Sanchez:

The Chilean is currently the top goal scorer for Arsenal this season and he will have to be at his best for his side to take anything from this game.

Danny Welbeck:

Though Giroud has been decent, Welbeck adds another dimension to the Arsenal attack and should keep his place in the starting XI against Hull City.
