Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois is not sure as to where he will be playing 2016-2017 season. The player did not dismiss the possibility of leaving the Stamford Bridge during an interview and hence it makes sense if the player is thinking of leaving the club.
“I do not say yes, I do not say no. I do not know. I still have three years on my contract. We must see what Chelsea want.”-Courtois
Courtois has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Los Galacticos, who were previously interested in signing David De Gea from Manchester United but now have turned their interest upon Courtois.
While Chelsea has priced the player at £79million, so as to ward off interests from other clubs, seems like this might just be a futile attempt.
Courtois has already played for and proved himself at Real Madrid’s rivals Athletico Madrid where he won the La Liga title. However, this time around due to Chelsea’s struggles in the pitch, Courtois might go about looking for the Champions League game in a different club. Thus, Real Madrid could be the most viable destination for the player as he likes the lifestyle there more than in London.
