The 20-year-old was loaned to the League Two side in order to gain more first-team experience.

Callum has made an immediate impact for the Cumbrians, by scoring two goals and providing two assists in 11 appearances.

In the game against Bury, the attacking midfielder put up another brilliant display, which helped his side to secure a 3-2 win.

The English prospect scored a goal in the 50th minute, drawing plaudits from the fans.

The Cumbrians are currently 8th in the League Two table and fighting hard for a promotion.

Callum, a youth product of Villa, signed for the side in 2016.

His loan spell is due to expire at the end of this season and is expected to return to Villa Park.

Meanwhile, the Lions picked up their sixth win in a row against Sheffield Wednesday.

John McGinn and Tammy Abraham were among the score-sheet, with the latter bagging his 23rd goal of the season.

Dean Smith’s men have gained momentum at the right time and are maximizing their chances to secure a place in the Premier League next season.
