Having progressed through the youth ranks of Villa, he broke into the first-team in 2017 but ended up not making a single appearance for two seasons.

The 20-year was loaned to the League Two earlier this year and has made a promising start.

“I hope I’ve shown what I’m about over the last two games, but I have to find that consistency. It’s important I don’t just turn up for two games, I have to perform at a good level week in, week out.

He also expressed his satisfaction with his performance against Bury and added that he would like to continue in such fashion for the upcoming games.

The Irish midfielder caught the interest of many English clubs that include Manchester United and Chelsea, before he joined Villa Park.

His loan spell at United ends next month and he is expected to return to Villa Park soon.

He has earned a handful of caps for his nation’s U-17, U-18 and U-19 side.

Dean Smith’s men have pulled themselves back into the promotion race after picking 7 straight wins since last month.

They are currently fifth in the Premiership table and probably going to end up in the playoffs.

Tammy Abrahamand Jack Grealish have been their key players, with the latter in exceptional form since his return from injury.
