This Atletico Madrid Outast Will Be A Perfect Fit For Tottenham – Thoughts?

Tottenham Hotspurs’ current season has been quite overwhelming, as the side have surprised a lot of people, just like they did last year when they fought for the Premier League with Leicester until the end of the season. This one started with some issues for Mauricio Pochettino and his boys but fortunately, they knew how to overcome them and now they’re fighting again for the top spot in the Premier table.

Pochettino brought the maturity in his players, something which they certainly lacked to face the rest of this season, as they will have to play not only the Premier league but Europa League too. In order to be competitive in both tournaments, Pochettino and his staff are looking to sign the right players to shield their ranks and now they’re hunting a talented player who is not going through his best moment in his current team.

Despite the great midfielders Pochettino has in his staff right now, Tottenham might sign another one who can provide big and meaningful things to North London side. In addition to his quality, the nationality of the player could mean a plus point, as Pochettino is always interested in acquiring Argentinean players, and in recent days rumours have increased about future of both parties.

Nico Gaitan is a very talented midfielder who is not seeing regular first-team action with his current club, Atletico. Diego Simeone’s club appeared as a great opportunity for Nico to show all of his talents, but so far he has spent most of the time on the bench of Vicente Calderon Stadium. And now, Nico has been linked with Tottenham and this can be the best move for both Tottenham and Gaitan.

As we said, Tottenham counts with a big quantity of talented midfielders but Nico can easily improve the level of Spurs as soon as he touches the field of White Hart Line. Maybe for most of the Spurs’ fans, Nico is a complete stranger but this wonderboy can bring pretty good things to London. Just in case you have doubts, here are some reasons why Gaitan can be the perfect fit for Tottenham.

During his stay with Benfica, Nico showed that his velocity was beyond most of the players’ in Portugal. Gaitan learned to help his teammates in defensive tasks, and Pochettino will really appreciate that; he can play on both flanks of the pitch, despite using his left foot with some exaggeration. Therefore, you can imagine the associations he can create with both Danny Rose and Kyle Walker.

Nico has great shooting skills and is a great playmaker. He surely won’t have any problem playing alongside Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli in order to provide a perfect supply to Harry Kane. On top of that, Gaitan is a great player who is wasting his talent in Madrid; and jumping to London might prove to be a big step in his career, as his style of playing can easily fit in the English Premier League, so it would make a lot of sense for the Spurs side to pursue the South American as soon as they have the chance.
