According to the latest reports, Sporting Lisbon have dropped the asking price for their defensive midfielder William Carvalho, giving green light for Arsenal to make their move. If Arsenal meet the discounted asking price, the deal is well set to be completed before the transfer deadline.

Last month it was reported that Arsenal’s £24million bid was turned down by  the Portuguese club. They were adamant to not let go of their star midfielder for anything less than £37million. Since the transfer deadline is very close-by, Sporting Lisbon has decided to dramatically reduce their asking price in-order to encourage the clubs around Europe to make a bid for William Carvalho.

William Carvalho is considered as one of the best young defensive midfielder in the world. Other top English clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen on Carvalho but the Gunners are believed to be firm favorites to sign the Portuguese  star.
