Ashley Cole Is Not Happy With The One Year Deal Offered By The Blues

England and Chelsea left back, Ashley Cole is not happy with the one year deal offered by the Blues and may leave the club if he is not offered a proper deal within January claims the Sun. Ashley Cole is in his final year of the contract and is looking to sort out his future quickly as he is not all that happy about leaving London.

Recent speculation suggested, a transfer move for the player and various clubs were linked with him but the 31-year-old is still looking to extent his contract with the Blues. It is only the club owner Roman Abramovich, who is unwilling to offer him longer than a 12-month deal and ultimately if nothing comes to a conclusion the Left back could  leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

His long term admirer and former boss Jose Mourinho is ready to reconnect with the player and could sign the veteran left back. There has also been interest from the French camp as Carlo Ancelotti, also a former boss, now in charge at Paris St-Germain is looking to capture the signature of Left back.

A ‘club insider’ is quoted as saying:

“Mr Abramovich has a rule that anyone over 30 can only be given a one-year extension but it’s madness in Ashley’s case. Everyone knows he’s the best left-back in the world. He trains hard, really looks after himself and can play at this level for many more years to come. There isn’t a club in the world who wouldn’t want Ashley on a free.”

Should , Ashley Cole leave the London club there are no proper replacements available with them at the moment and Blues may need to open their check books again.
