Selling These Two Players Was A Huge Mistake By Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger has always been criticized for his transfer plans as he has failed to land most of his transfer targets in his 20 years at the club. The Frenchman has been linked to some of the best players during his time at the Emirates, but Wenger has not been able to get his hands on most such targets, leaving him empty handed. As if that was not enough, the manager has also let a fair number of players leave the club in recent times. There are a number of star players who have turned on the heat elsewhere in Europe after leaving the Emirates and surely, languishing at 6th place in the points table, Arsenal would be missing most of them. Though he might not admit it, here are two players who Wenger should have never sold.

Serge Gnabry (Werder Bremen)

One of the most exciting youngsters on display at the moment, Serge Gnabry is a product of the Arsenal academy, but he failed to have an impact at the Emirates and was shipped out on a permanent basis last summer to German outfit Werder Bremen. He was on loan at the Hawthorns the season before and never really got a chance to prove himself under Arsene Wenger. However, he has assumed an important role for Werder Bremen, scoring 10 goals and picking up 2 assists in his 22 appearances. He cost very less but now looks an exciting aspect for the future. Surely, Wenger would have done better with having someone like Gnabry in his team this season.
