Arsene Wenger Wants To Do It In The Right Way Regarding Suarez And Sturridge Expresses His Delight To Be Back On The Pitch

Will Wenger spend the cash???

After Arsenal’s convincing victory over Manchester City on Saturday, many fans feared that this would be end of road for a new signing. But Arsene Wenger has insisted the opposite and has mentioned that the club would still need the services of Luis Suarez.

In the final game of the pre season, Arsenal managed a 3-0 victory over Manchester City with goals from Walcott, Ramsey and Giroud.  Wenger mentioned that his hopes of landing Suarez are still alive. He stated

“No. We will do it the right way and see what happens.”

He went on to stress about the wafer thin squad of Arsenal and the difficulty to operate with such a thin squad throughout the season.

“I think the problem is the strength of the squad. Today is one game we are going to play 55 games. We are maybe a bit thin squad wise to go through the whole season. “he said.

Wenger also went on to say about Arsenal’s other target Luis Gustavo, who seem to be on his way towards the London club. He stressed that nothing concrete has been made yet, yet still he did not deny the chances for the 26 year midfielder joining Arsenal.

While Liverpool are having a tough time to keep hold of one of their strikers, their other forward has insisted that he is “good to go” from next week itself during their opening game against Stoke.

Daniel Sturridge had missed the action with an injury during the whole pre season of Liverpool, but made his first appearance for the club during Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Celtic.

“I’m delighted to be back. It’s been a long road – a bumpy one at that – but I’m delighted to be back out there and I’m thankful to God for healing my injury so quickly because I wasn’t sure I’d be back for the start of the season. I’m fit and good to go. If I’m selected against Stoke then I’ll be ready. I didn’t think I’d be as sharp as I was, to be honest, so I’m happy.” Sturridge mentioned.
