Arsene Wenger Reveals Team News Ahead of Stoke City Game

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of the Premier League clash with Stoke City on Saturday. There are no injury worries for the Gunners as the players returned from International break. There are more happy news in store for them as their stand-in captain and defender Per Mertesacker came back to training after missng the club’s last two games due to illness.

Wenger also revealed that French defender, Laurent Koscielny, who had a scare ahead of France’s friendly against Serbia is fully fit. Other than this none of the Arsenal players suffered an injury or a scare on International duty. Wenger also stated that Jack Wilshere’s injury is slower than expected and it is certain that the English midfielder will be on the sidelines for three more weeks. Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky remain sidelined after their knee surgeries.

Arsenal, having yet to score at home this season, has a lot to do in the upcoming fixture against Stoke and Wenger has called the fans to get behind the players on Saturday. “The players we have know what they need to do,” he said. “They have ability, they have ambition and we need to stand behind them.”
