Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has now spoken about his plan against Bayern Munich and said that his side have no choice but to attack in their match at the Emirates on Tuesday. After consecutive defeats in the Champions League to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos, the Gunners now need to beat the Bundesliga champs and earn some points, if they want to make it to the round of 16.
The German giants will face Wenger’s side at the back of 12 straight wins though the French manager believes that the north London side’s recent performances can encourage them to pull off a win. He stated after the win over Watford, “We are now in a position where we can focus really and give everything on Tuesday night. I will have to see how we prepare for this game now and decide what we really want to do. The confidence level is there, the required result is there as well because we know exactly what is needed – a 0-0 is not even a good result. To score goals, we have to attack. What we want to do is play up to our level, because that will be needed – we play against a big team. We feel a bit that the pain inflicted [in Europe] was a bit by ourselves, maybe subconsciously we thought, ‘Anyway we will win these’. Now to correct that we need a great performance.“
