Arsenal faced Watford on Saturday evening with the hopes of continuing their good round of form, after the win over Manchester United prior to the international break. The game had a slow first half and neither side could score a single goal. However, the Gunners managed to net thrice in the second half, making it a one-sided affair and showing to the world why they are so dangerous when they are in the best of forms.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were once again superb pushing ahead though they had some really good support from the likes of Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey. Alexis, Giroud and Ramsey were the three goalscorers and it was a confident performance and a good team effort with the stamina and skill of Arsene Wenger’s side proving to be too much for the hosts, who succumbed under the pressure after a solid first half display.
In either case, the north London side won’t mind as they took back all three points from the game and will now look forward to facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League in mid-week.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions of the Arsenal fans after the game:
Credit to the referee for the decent job he did. Penalty calls, fouls were spot on. Could not fault him anywhere imo #WATvsARS
