Arsenal’s Giroud Scores Two Stunning Goals For France

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud started the game for France last night during a World Cup warm up match against Norway and scored two stunning goals in a 4-0 win. His first goal especially was a cracker as he controlled the ball just from outside the box and slammed in a volley inside the top corner – a finish Arsene Wenger would have been proud off.

Talking to the Press after the game, Giroud said:

“At the World Cup, everyone will be needed,” the Arsenal attacker told French reporters following the victory.

“When I am called upon, I try to make the most of my chance and do the job.

“It’s always good to win, including in friendlies. It’s good for morale. Tonight, I really want to highlight the team effort. It was really good. Still, we’ll stay measured, we still have to pass tests.”

With star names in Benzema, Ribery and the likes of Griezmann, Valbuena & Cabella to be a part of the national set up, it will be interesting to see Giroud’s involvement in the tournament. France kick off their World Cup campaign against Honduras on June 15th.
