Arsenal’s Bid for French Striker Accepted by Club

Reports suggest that Premier League champions Arsenal have been given a boost in their chase for French international Karim Benzema, with his current club Real Madrid said to have accepted an offer of around £48m from the Gunners, according to Rodney Marsh. Manager Arsene Wenger is keen on adding yet another top-class attacker to his squad, as he looks to challenge for more titles this season.

Further, club legend Thierry Henry had also spoken to talkSPORT a few days ago, suggesting that the north London side can end their drought for a top flight title by signing the Frenchman this summer.

Wenger’s side have been keeping tabs on the 27-year-old for months and the French manager might have finally played his cards right to complete a move, as a reliable source has told Sports Bar regular Marsh.

Marsh stated, “I had a phone call from a mate of mine, and he’s been right on many things, and he said that he believes Real Madrid have accepted a bid somewhere in the region of £48million for Benzema from Arsenal.”

“In the past this guy has always been right, he’s never been wrong yet, so we’ll have to wait and see.”
