Arsenal Want Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa In January

Wenger is planning to strengthen Arsenal’s defense during the Winter transfer window. Many reports from France claims that Arsenal revived their interest in Montpellier defender Yanga-Mbiwa. Arsenal chief scout team is closely monitoring the player and regularly reporting back to the North London Club.

Arsenal are back in the race to sign Mbiwa

Yanga-Mbiwa impressed all top clubs with his pace and physical game-play. Wenger believes he has all qualities to be top defender and his versatility to play in many positions is also a bonus.

Yanga-Mbiwa contract only ends on 2015 but Montpellier may sell the player if the right offer pops up. AC Milan and Chelsea are also interested in signing the hard tackling defender. But Arsenal are desperate to get him as their defensive problems showing no sign of ending, while Johan Djourou and Sebastien Squillaci are expected to leave Emirates in the new year.
