Ozil to Arsenal? This is by far the most trending and buzzing news going rounds in internet for past few hours. Even the top sources like Sky Sports and BBC confirmed Arsenal’s interest in signing Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Mesut Ozil joined Madrid in 2010 from Werder Bremen and he is surely one of the best players Real Madrid have at the moment. According to the reports, with Bale arrival, Real Madrid are forced to sell Ozil in order to compensate for the huge chunk of money that they payed for Bale’s transfer.
Now, Arsenal are the favorites to sign the German play maker in a deal worth more than £42.5m (plus some added bonus too).
Spanish radio Cadena Cope confirmed this via journalist Guillem Balague who posted in twitter,
“According to Cope Radio, Ozil COULD leave for PSG or Arsenal. Both offers on the table.”
Arsene Wenger also gave a hint that Arsenal may surprise everyone with a super signing on the deadline day. Ozil fits the bill perfectly for the tag “Super Signing”. After a good hard working win against Tottenham, Wenger commented on transfers,
“We need one or two super players. Maybe in 24 hours we can surprise you! I am ready to pay what we can afford, even if it over the market value.”
Arsenal have to careful and finish the deal as soon as possible with PSG and United trying to steal the deal way from the gunners. We will just find out soon anyway. Just less than a day left in the window. Happy D-Day everyone!
