Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny may be set to return to Arsenal after Euro 2016. Earlier it was expected that the player may extend his loan move at AS Roma or move there permanently.
However The Guardian has reported that the goalkeeper has two year contract left with Arsenal and now the talks between the club about a move, permanent or loan, has stalled. As a result he will be back to Emirates and will see what has to be done. The main reason for the stall is that Gunners are not willing to subsidize his wage for the next season. AS Roma on the other hand would only like to keep him if part of his wage is paid by Arsenal.
The player seemed nonchalant at an interview recently and has admitted that the clubs are negotiating about what can be done. Szczesny fell down the pecking order after the arrival of David Ospina and Petr Cech at Emirates.
