According to the reports from France, Arsenal are still chasing Lille star Florian Thauvin. Wenger is a long term admirer of Florian Thauvin. Thauvin surprised everyone by joining Lille last January after agreeing a four and a half year deal with them. Thauvin was then loaned back to Bastia where he bagged seven goals in 12 league games.
Now the rumors say that Thauvin is looking for a club with Champions league status and ready to leave Lille. Thauvin attracted interests from top clubs like Arsenal and Manchester city after showing some impressive form in U-20 world cup where he helped France to become the world champions.
But Lille are adamant that they will not sell Thauvin for any price. Lille chief Michel Seydoux said,
“We know exactly what we want at Lille and I am stubborn. We will take our time for Florian to adapt to the group as we did in the past with Gervinho or Dimitri Payet,”
But a bid more than 15 million pounds will definitely tempt Lille to sell the wonder kid. If signed, Thauvin will become Arsenal’s second U-20 French signing of the summer as gunners have already signed Yaya Sanogo.
