Arsene Wenger has been in Germany in the last few days, sparking rumors that he is directly talking with a mystery quality player and convincing him to join Arsenal.

Wenger in Germany to sign Gotze

While there’s no solid source backing this speculation, (Arsenal handle their negotiations very secretly), but it is believed that Arsenal are ready to meet the buy-out clause of the German play-maker and le Prof went off to Germany to convince the player who is thought to be happy and well settled at Dortmund.

Mario Gotze already has 20 international caps and is already considered as a world class player. He signed a new contract with his club in the summer, but there is a release clause of £30 million apparently.  Arsenal are trying to trigger that clause.

In other news, Mats Hummels of Dortmund and Luis Gustavo from Bayern Munich are also linked with Arsenal.
