Few reports from Greater Manchester claims that Arsenal are preparing a bid to sign Callum McManaman from Wigan. Callum McManaman is currently recovering from an ankle injury that will keep him out for some time, even this is not stopping Arsenal’s interest on the player.
McManaman rose to stardom when he took Wigan to a sensational FA cup glory where he was named as man of the match against Manchester City in the finals at Wembley. He also scored against Everton in the quarter final.
McManaman is versatile player who can play in both wings and also as a forward if required. He has good strong dribbles and double touch to beat any defender in the league. His shots are powerful too.
Arsenal’s planned £8 Million bid may not be enough to lure the player to Emirates. Wigan will want to keep McManaman as they are planning an immediate return to premier league next season. So, a bid in the range of £12-£14 million is required to tempt the latics to sell McManaman.
Liverpool, Sunderland and Everton are also closely monitoring Callum McManaman who is also a distant relative to former liverpool legend Steve McManaman.
