Arsenal to Fight With Tottenham to Sign this Brazilian Star

Alexandro PAto
Alexandro Pato

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are in talks with Corinthians to sign Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, according to further claims in Brazil. It’s no surprise after Corinthians sporting director Edu, confirmed that he had chats with his former manager at Arsenal about Pato and that Arsene Wenger had asked about the player.

Edu was on a trip to London and visited his old club, but also went to others and will likely have been canvassing for interest in Pato.

Having been on loan with Sao Paulo, Pato is set to return to parent club Corinthians, where his contract runs out at the end of next year. Few days back, it was reported that Pato was targetted by Liverpool’s new manager Jurgen Klopp.

The latest claims are that Pato would cost €15m, which is a price we reckon could come down. Pato had a great season with Sao Paulo and showed the world that he’s not quite the washed-up has-been some suggested he was, and he could be an interesting option for a Premier League club.
